How would you describe this photograph to a person who could not see it? If someone had not seen the photo before o would first say it was in black and white, but then I would say that it is quite abstract and strange. Then I would say think of and upside down triangle with round clouds on it with trees and houses in the distance.
How is space represented in this photograph (foreground, middle ground, background)? The space is represented in three ways. The first one is foreground which is sort of the main focus, in this picture the foreground is the ice cream sign thing. Then there is the middle ground, which would be the caravan and the path way. Then the background would be the trees and the houses and the clouds in the distance.
What is in or out of focus? How has the subject been framed/cropped? The main thing that is in focus is the sign and the clouds however in the background there are things like trees, cars and houses but then when you go even further back everything starts to get a bit out of focus and it could be quite blurry.
Which part of the photograph strikes you as most interesting - captivating, surprising, puzzling, mysterious? Why? The part that seems most interesting for me is the sign and the clouds. One reason is because it looks like ice cream also because it makes me think like how did the photographer get the angle right and how long did it take him to get the perfect shot, also how many pictures did he have to take before he got the perfect one.
What questions would you ask the artist about this work, if s/he were here? If the photographer was here right now I would as he/she, what made you think of this idea. Also how were you able to get the perfect angle so that the clouds seem so close.
What do you think it would be like to live in this photograph? What makes you think that? I feel like the house would be quite abstract the way it would be laid out. I think this because this photo it not like an ordinary phot it is quite abstract.
Why do you suppose the artist made this photograph? What makes you think that? I feel he/she made this photograph because he/she is an imaginative person also there brain could be quite abstract and these ideas could just naturally come to there heads.
What do you think is effective about this photograph? What doesn’t work so well? I think the most effective thing about this photo is the ice cream cloud thing. This is because it makes people wonder more and think more deeply about the photo and I make you have loads of questions in your head.
